Kairos Futura blends art, science and design to form creative and interdisciplinary investigations in remote communities. Through these research trips we are able to identify key areas to explore in large scale art and design projects.

We are committed to drawing attention to locations and communities that are off the beaten track in regards to development, tourism or conservation. Our projects focus on regions where there are real challenges that we believe need urgent attention and funding.

Our expeditions involve community at ever stage of the process. Think globally but act locally is one of Kairos’s mission ethos. Only by addressing challenges at local levels, with local materials and indigenous knowledge, do we build the capacity of people in these contexts to become change makers in their own right.
