ECOLOGY X

Fracking is taking place along and in proximity to the Colorado River. Studies have shown it contaminates our water table and the extraction process uses more than 10 times the amount of drinking water we consume in the state of Colorado each year.

Widespread fracking is happening less than 50 miles from Aspen and its impacts will be felt for generations to come as it depletes our water table and contaminates our ground water.

Kairos Futura is an arts futurist organization that works with artists to imagine and create exciting and ecological resilient futures. This poster series is called Ecology X and is an ongoing project on environmental issues. Wilderness Workshop, an environmental advocacy group out of Carbondale, Colorado inspired these posters on fracking because of their work to end oil and gas drilling on public lands.

You can take immediate action today by filling out this petition asking your representatives to Congress and the Senate to end oil and gas leases on public land in Colorado: https://www.safeandhealthyco.org/pledge-to-sign/

We can change the future. Your voice is part of that change.
